Hey guys, I just applied my lip of the day and I'm so excited to share this Dollar Tree find with you! It's the La Mercery Stunning Satin Lip Tint that promises velvety matte texture and all-day wear - all for just $1.25. Let's see if this budget beauty lives up to its claims!
Meet my lip of the day from Dollar Tree! This is the La Mercery Stunning Satin Lip Tint that promises velvety matte texture. The packaging is actually kind of cute and reminds me a bit of Maybelline's Teddy Tint, though it's a little thinner. It feels velvety going on - not quite a pure liquid stain like Benetint, but definitely has that stain-like quality.

Initial Application & Texture
Right after application, the texture feels velvety and smooth on the lips. The color goes on looking like a slightly deepened red, and the product claims it's going to last all day. The instructions say to let it fully dry first if you want to build up the color, but I'm starting to wonder if that's even possible...

The Waiting Game
Okay, we've hit the 5-minute mark and there's absolutely no sign of dry down. This stuff really is not setting at all! I'm going to give it a few more minutes, but if it's still not drying, we're going to have to take matters into our own hands and blot it off to see what kind of stain we're actually left with.

Time to Blot!
Alright, that's it - we're blotting! Since this product shows no signs of drying down naturally, I'm giving it a good solid blot with a tissue to remove the excess product and see what kind of stain remains. The transformation is already noticeable as we move from application to the final stain result.

The Stain Transformation
Wow, look at that transformation! What went on as a slightly deepened red has now become quite a bit brighter after blotting. The lips are totally stained at this point, and I feel like nothing's going to transfer off. The final result is more vibrant and opaque-looking than some pure liquid stains like Benetint or E.L.F.'s versions.

Final Stain Result
Here's the ultimate result - a beautiful, vibrant stain that's definitely more opaque than traditional liquid stains. Just a heads up that there's no shade name on this, and it might look really dark in the tube, but this is what you're actually left with on your lips. A surprisingly pigmented stain from Dollar Tree!
