I discovered this incredible website called foundation.com - it's literally just that, finding your perfect foundation match! I input my favorite foundations that have worked for me in the past, and based on my results, it recommended two specific shades that would be my closest match. This tool takes the guesswork out of shade matching, especially for those of us with tricky undertones like light olive skin.

Testing the Recommended Shades

I'm putting both recommended shades on my face to see how the undertones work for my light olive complexion. Zooming in so you can really see the difference! My initial reaction? The 106 L11 medium shade is one option, but I've got another hack for you: always test foundation on your chest, blend it out, and whichever looks most like your skin tone is your winner.

The Winning Shade Application

We're going in with shade 111! My foundation always looks bomb when I use this one. Just one pump and let's see how far this takes us. What's really interesting about this shade is that 111 M actually has a cool undertone - which surprises a lot of people because they assume olive skin is warm. But here's the science: to make green (olive), you need both yellow and blue. Warm foundations are just yellow, while olive foundations have a higher ratio of blue, making them cool tone!

Incredible Coverage & Blendability

I've only used a half pump so far and I'm already blending it down my neck - a little bit goes a really long way with this formula! The coverage is amazing and it blends out seamlessly. I'm finishing the rest of my makeup off camera, but I can already tell this is going to be a flawless finish.

The Final Flawless Result

This is the completed look and I have to say - this is a REALLY good foundation! Let's give it up to foundation.com that absolutely nailed this color match. Can you even tell where the foundation stops and ends? It's simply undetectable. The finish is definitely on the heavier matte side, but going in heavily with setting spray makes it look really nice and natural.

This foundation is definitely staying in my collection! The shade match is absolutely perfect and the formula gives that flawless, undetectable finish we all dream of.
