Okay, so I just got my hands on the Missha Perfect Cover BB cream in shade number 21 that everyone's been calling olive friendly. I was super excited about this one, but after seeing some recent posts, my enthusiasm has definitely cooled off. Still, we're going to give it a fair shot and see what happens!
I'm starting with a little swatch test to see how this BB cream performs. It claims to provide a full coverage finish, but we're just doing a preliminary check to see the color and texture before going all in.

The Fragrance Shock
Oh my god, whoa - the fragrance hits you immediately! It's like straight perfume and honestly, I don't know if I could handle this scent on my face all day. The strong fragrance is definitely something to consider if you're sensitive to scented products.

Color Analysis: Dusty Rose Taupe
As it starts to dry down, I'm noticing the color is pulling as a dusty rose taupe kind of shade. It's definitely muted, which might work for some skin types, but I'm already getting concerned about how this will look on my olive complexion.

The Final Verdict: Too Muted & Too Cool
Okay, that's the first thing I'm going to say - it's too muted! And contrary to what the camera might show you, this is pulling very pink on me. It's way too cool for my olive undertones and clearly not light enough either. This is a definite no-go for me.

Who Might This Actually Work For?
I do feel like if you're a cool muted olive, you might be able to get away with this shade. But honestly, you'd definitely need to mess with the color a bit to make it work properly. It's just not the olive-friendly miracle worker I was hoping for.
Side-by-side comparison showing the color mismatchSo unfortunately, this is a hard no for me - it's just way too cool and pink on my skin. But if you're a cool muted olive, you might be able to make this work with some color adjusting. Whoever said this is olive friendly deserves immediate jail time! What foundations have you tried that totally missed the mark for your olive undertones?
